What should I do for Valentines Day for my wife, spouse, etc.?
2. What is her favorite color? What colors does she wear a lot?
Even though Valentines Day is traditionally dominated by red and whites that doesn't mean you are limited to red and white. Yellows, pinks, browns and blues all mix well with red and white roses or Latin Ladies. Be fun and show her you thought about this year's gift and add her favorite color(s) to her flowers.
3. To vase or not to vase?
If you are having the flowers delivered, GET THEM IN A VASE! That being said, you don't have to buy the vase. Bring in her favorite vase and get the flowers arranged in that. You already know she likes it and you can now get a bigger arrangement for your money 'cause you aren't paying for a new vase. Plus, using her vase shows again how much thought and effort you put into her Valentines Day.
4. Should you get them delivered or pick them up yourself?
Some times you don't have a choice because they are going to her work but Valentines Day 2010 is on a Sunday so you could bring them home yourself. While this might be tempting because you could save the cost of the delivery, let me ask you this, is it more exciting to answers the door to a big beautiful bouquet or to walk in the room and stumble across a vase of flowers. Both are nice but which one is going to get your lady more emotionally charged? If you have them delivered you get the value of surprise. What's more perfect than you sitting on the couch on Sunday February 14th seemingly oblivious to the fact that it's Valentines Day when there's a knock at the door?
All games aside, you are getting her flowers on Valentines Day to be nice but also because you want to see her reaction. You want to watch her smile from ear to ear. You want to watch her tear up because you remembered and because she now feels special.
To wrap this up. Make her day this Valentines Day by putting a little extra thought into what you are getting her. Don't just do the old stand by, a dozen red roses. Use the roses to accent her favorite flowers and colors. Get them arranged in her vase if possible, and get them delivered. That extra thought will make all the difference.
Our best wishes for a Happy Valentines Day.
